Chicago, IL
We were able to spend a few days exploring downtown Chicago in April 2022. My daughters and I met my mom, my sister, and my nieces there. We also met up with our brother, sister-in-law, and another niece one day. It has been quite a while since we spent much time in a big city, so this was a different kind of adventure than we have had recently. We had a great time and have a list of things to do next time. Highfield Discovery Garden
We visited the Highfield Discovery Garden at Glenwood Gardens in July 2022. I had been wanting to visit this children’s garden for several years and was so happy it finally fit in our schedule!

Magic Kingdom – 05.22
Our family made a quick stop at Walt Disney World at the end of our Florida trip in May 2022. We were able to stay 2 nights and have one day in the Magic Kingdom. My girls and I always love any chance to seek some time in any Disney bubble!

Sanibel Island, FL
We spent a few days at Sanibel Island in the middle of May 2022. We really enjoyed the “old Florida” feel of the island. It is so peaceful and not crowded in most places. We spent most of our time in Sanibel relaxing on the beach and in the pool near our hotel. The beach is very pretty and we had great luck finding seashells here. We saw quite a few live sand dollars. We know they should be left in their homes and did not take any with us, but it was amazing to see them. The beach was not crowded and the hotel provided umbrellas and chairs. We…

Amelia Island, FL
We spent the weekend in Amelia Island, Florida in May 2022. The reason for our trip was to spend time with family in Jacksonville. Amelia Island is a little less than an hour north of Jacksonville. We love the relaxing, Florida vacation vibe of Amelia Island and love using it as a base for time in Jacksonville. Most of our time was spent visiting with family in Jacksonville, so but we still managed to do some sightseeing. We spent a few hours on the beach across the street from our hotel. It is a very peaceful beach and pretty nice.
